Ratha-nava means a ship of a government. This term is used by the Thai mass media who compare the government with the ship. The ship may sink if it is out control. The artist represents the government with a ship carried by a giant. The gaint means people. If the government work well, the giant will be polite, kind and help support the ship. But if the government work is not satisfactority, the giant can overturn the ship. The leader of the ship can be comparable with the government who directs the ship through the waves and the winds (obstacles) around it. Around him are both the loyal follwers and those who expect only benefits and are ready to betray him. |
