อมริตา (อ่านว่า อะ-มะ-ริ-ตา) หมายถึงพระอินทร์ ภาพนี้ได้รูปแบบมาจาก ทวารบาล ตามคติความเชื่อของคนไทย ซึ่งมักจะวาดภาพสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ไว้ตามประตูโบสถ์หรือวิหารวัด หรือสถานที่อันควรเคารพ เพื่อความเป็นศิริมงคล และความเชื่อเรื่องเทพผู้ปกปักรักษาประตูทางเข้า มิให้ภยันตรายต่างๆ ย่างกรายเข้ามาได้
ภาพที่วาดต้องการเน้นรอยกะเทาะ ผุกร่อนของสี แบบเดียวกับภาพวาดโบราณที่ผ่านอายุขัยของกาลเวลา เพื่อให้รู้สึกเหมือนกับ ได้เข้าไปสัมผัสกับยุคสมัย การเน้นรอยฝีแปรงในแนวดิ่ง เพื่อให้เกิดความรู้สึกพุ่งพล่าน แรง และความเคลื่อนไหวของรูปทรง แปรเปลี่ยนเป็นพลังวิญญาณในผลงานชิ้นนี้ |

| Amarita means Indra (the great deity of Hinduism). This picture also originated from Thawarabarn. According to the Thai belief, they usually draw holy pictures on the doors and the windows of the churches or cathedrals. They believe that the angels will protect them from dangers and will make them live in peace. This picture focuses on the corrosion of the paint like that of the ancient time. I emphasize on the brushes in the vertical directions to make the picture look strong and powerful. Furthermore, the movements of characters in this picture make the looks lively. |
