The artist was inspired by the old box containing the Lord Buddha's teachings which is kept in the museum displaying ancient objects. The outer part of the box was decorated with Rod Nam design. Although only two colours, black varnish and gold leaf, were used, the box looks elaborate with the ancient design that can be dated back to the glorious Ayudhya era. Such inspiration results in my colourful painting.
