| Number 1 Gallery presents the exhibition 'Noble Individual - Satu' by Alongkorn Lauwatthana Opening of the exhibition on Thursday 23rd April 2009 at 6.30 pm. at Number 1 Gallery, B1 Floor, The Silom Galleria, Silom Rd., Bangkok. The conceive of self, sex, class, status, image or physical appearance are apparent to visual perception; yet, the lucidity becomes obscured and unclear; the reality is distorted and finally decays… In the mean time, there is something co-conceived; the act of virtue freed from the frame of appearance becomes the true demonstration of the core essence of a ‘civilized individual’, truthfully and inarguably. This particular series of works by Alongkorn Lauwatthana is the latest interpretation of the artist’s own experience, expressing the reality of the absolute truth without any attachment to the superficiality of physical appearances; the same way his works resolve, develop and progress.
